The car was presented at the Turin motor show in the autumn of 1963, it was the first Quattroporte of the "trident" which marked an epochal turning point, with uniqueness that decreed a success destined to last for decades.
The elegant line, the large dimensions, the luxury finishes, the cutting-edge technical solutions and the extraordinary performance of the Maserati Quattroporte immediately became the object of desire for the highest-ranking social class of the time.
The 4.135cc V8 engine developed 260hp and allowed the car to whiz at 240km / h without sacrificing driving comfort, making it "the fastest production sedan in the world"
The car offered very high driving and travel comfort, superior to its competitors, thanks also to the luxurious finishes, the electric windows, the 5-speed gearbox, the four disc brakes and various other options that had never been seen before.
This car designed by Pietro Frua was built in Turin by Vignale.
The car remained in production for six years, in which there was only a few tweaks in 1966, such as the adoption of double front headlights
Given the times and the high cost, the production of the first series Quattroporte stopped at 776 units
Which today make it a very rare and sought-after car.
