FERRARI 488 SPIDER  

40 years after the presentation of the first Ferrari discovered with V8 engine (308 GTS), the Maranello factory opens a new chapter in the lineage of roofless sportscars. The 488 GTB Spider marks the passage to the supercharging of the "open sky" cars of the Prancing Horse, with the adoption of two turbochargers (IHI) on the sides of the eight cylinders in the rear-central position. 

Presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2015, it can be considered the perfect synthesis between the sporting soul – characterised by the Berlinettes designed to run – and the freer one, which let itself go to the wind when the hood is lowered. 

The solution of the RHT (Retractable Hard Top) allows to fold the hard roof in the compartment above the engine in about 14 seconds; operation is possible even in motion, up to a speed of forty-five kilometers per hour.The lines designed by the Ferrari Style Centre essentially follow those of the GTB coupè version, with which it shares the 3.902cc engine of displacement, which delivers a power of 670 horsepower at 8,000 rpm. The acceleration from 0-100 stops the stopwatch at 3 seconds and the maximum speed is 327 km/h. A motorsport excellence that confirms once again Ferrari leadership in the production of supercars capable of transmitting strong emotions, in the open air or with hardtop over the head.
