Created to satisfy the aspirations of Fiat's most racing-minded customers, the 595 SS is the result of Carlo Abarth's elaboration of the 'New 500 D' base. The 595 SS (Sprint Speciale) on the bonnet is a function of the total displacement - 593cc - which has been increased in comparison with its younger sibling, the 500, and the shield on the front frames the Abarth scorpion on a yellow-red background. This rare example we offer for sale was originally sold in Turin and first registered on 26 May 1967 by Mr. Sergio Lucca Balera. In 1994 it was purchased by an Abarth mechanic who, thanks to his direct experience in the scorpion workshops, carried out a conservative restoration while maintaining the car's specifications and originality. This 595 SS is now in excellent condition and is offered with ASI homologation documents - the current owner has applied for registration with the Abarth Register and is currently waiting to receive the certificate.
