Introduced in 1959 and remaining in production until 1967, the Austin Healey 3000 underwent several updates before production ceased. The last version, introduced in October 1963, is the Mark III BJ8 (like the one shown here) and is the most desirable of all the "Big Healey" as it is the result of progress and improvements during production. In fact, the 6-cylinder in-line 2912cc engine had a new overhead camshaft and two SU HDB carburettors, and delivered 150 horsepower, making it the most powerful of the 3000 models. The exhaust system was also redesigned and power brakes were introduced for the front disc brakes. The car on offer was produced in 1964 and has an interesting colour scheme with two-tone black on silver paintwork and red interior and upholstery. The front lights have two additional spotlights at the base of the grille, mounted on the badge bar and the car is offered with beautiful chrome wire wheels.
