About five hundred years ago, the architectural genius Andrea di "Pietro dalla Gondola", better known as "Palladio" embellished the Venetian countryside with the construction of majestic homes of incomparable charm, famous throughout the world. Villa Curtoni-Tretti, called "Cortalta", example of the Venetian '500s, rises in the town of Travenzuolo (in the province of Verona) and more precisely in Roncolevà, on the border of the municipal territory with the province of Mantua.
The entire property has 67.245 mq of land. The perfect and harmonious architectural symmetry in neoclassical style, is clear evidence of the Palladian origin of the sixteenth-century central body.
The Curtoni family, after having inherited it by marriage from the Pantini family in the first decades of the seventeenth century, kept the management of the villa for over two centuries, precisely until the first decade of the nineteenth century; then the complex passed to the Venetian nobles Grimani, to the Comello of Milan and other owners.
The project of the complex can be followed by the study STP ASSOCIATI ING. S. PAGANO ARCH T. PILUSO.
