As previously happened with other models, Lancia decided to commission the Zagato bodywork to create a sportier version of the Fulvia, equipped with an aluminum bodywork and significantly improved aerodynamics. For Zagato this experience was a testing ground for passing from an artisanal production to a hint of mass production: for Lancia it meant the birth of the FULVIA SPORT ZAGATO.
Although the mechanics remained unchanged from the "normal" Fulvia, the Sport Zagato boasted a higher top speed, thanks to the efficient aerodynamic study carried out on the bodywork. The tapered line in which Ercole Spada's hand can be seen has entered the motoring design manuals.
The Lancia Fulvia Sport Zagato that we offer for sale is a very rare version, as it is one of the few with the body of the first series but equipped with the engine of the second series, that is the 1.3 Rally.
Produced between 1970 and 1972, they are for this reason defined by Lancia enthusiasts as "first and a half series". It is a very fun car with which you can participate in events reserved for historic cars.
The car is fitted with black vintage plates.
